We have officially been waiting one year for our adoption referral! We turned in our paperwork on April 3 last year and at that time we were 108 on the list and average wait times for an infant girl were 11-12 months. Fast foward one year and the average wait times are closer to 14-16 months and we are 17 on the list. Hopefully I won't be posting "two years and counting" next year but with all the twists and turns of international adoption nothing is ever certain. So for now we wait patiently... ok, maybe sometimes not quite so patiently but still we wait :)
Wow! 17th on the list. That's so close! It must seem like you've been waiting an eternity but when you hold your little girl, it'll all seem like the blink of an eye. You're so close now! I hope the last few weeks/months (hopefully!) go quickly.
